The Office of the Great Lakes has released the 2012 Michigan Water Conservation and Efficiency Program Review (Program Review), which assesses Michigan’s progress in meeting its obligations under the Great Lakes–St. Lawrence River Basin Water Resources Compact (Compact). Each state is legally required under the Compact to submit a periodic review of its water conservation programs to the Great Lakes–St. Lawrence River Water Resources Regional Body. The 2012 Michigan Water Conservation and Efficiency Program Review was drafted in consultation with the Departments of Environmental Quality, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Rural Development, and Attorney General.
The OGL is seeking public review and comment on the Program Review as part of its obligation under the Compact. Written comments should be postmarked or submitted by Feb. 4, 2013 to Ms. Emily Finnell, Office of the Great Lakes, P.O. Box 30473-7973, Lansing, Michigan 48909-7973 or by E-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
