Representative: Ms. Angela Larsen

Chicago, IL
Coastal Project Manager, Alliance for the Great Lakes
Watershed: The Great Lakes basin, currently focused on the Illinois Lake Michigan Watershed

Help land managers and landowners develop and implement on-the-ground restoration projects that create measurable water quality, habitat, hydrologic and & economic benefits for their communities, their watersheds, and ultimately the Great Lakes.

Why Angela Loves the Lake

I love the Great Lakes because they are both transcendental and tangible - they provide everything from favorable aesthetics to drinking water for millions of people. I love the Great Lakes because they are my sanctuary.

Other Lake Projects Angela is Involved With

Coordinate multi-jurisdictional planning, monitoring, and grant submissions in order to implement ravine restoration projects. Support state and federal agencies as they develop and administer policies that allow communities to implement on-the-ground restoration and/or water infrastructure projects. Develop and pilot habitat assessment forms, based on the Alliance's Adopt-a-Beach model, that can be used by volunteers to assess the health and restoration potential of coastal sites.
